Rescued Beagle Mix
Hope is a 5 year old medium sized brindle and white beagle mix, about 35 pounds. This sweet girl was found running loose after being hit by a car. She showed evidence that she had probably spent her life up until then tied up, neglected, and probably abused.
She has recovered well from her broken pelvis, and only has some residual damage after treatment for her severe heartworm infection. She was very scared at first, but relaxed quickly, and now wants nothing more than to be someone’s constant companion.
She would do best as an only dog, although she does well with cats and is fine with other dogs when she meets them on walks. She still gets startled easily, and would love a quiet, predictable household, without small children.
She is crate trained and learns quickly-she already knows “sit” “off” and “leave it.”
